5. Deli Meats
These types of meat are loaded with high amount of saturated fats. Also, they are high in nitrates that can cause diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer. So, instead of ditch deli meats, consume more protein-rich food including chicken, fish, turkey, legumes and lean beef cuts.
6. Microwave Popcorn
This does not mean that you should avoid popcorn in any case. However, the microwavable popcorn is not the most suitable choice.
A single bag of these popcorns contains about 24 grams of fat and 600 calories. Also, the diacetyl, the artificial buttering flavor can lead to bronchiolitis obliterans or a condition known as popcorn lung.
7. Refined Carbohydrates
Avoid pretzels, crackers, chips, cookies and many other things that come in bag or box. This is due to the processed flour which is also stripped of the bran and germ.
