Seasonal colds and flues are often accompanied with a dry and persistent cough which if left untreated can lead to complications.
If you’ve tried every cough syrup and pastille on the market but nothing helped you try this sage infused milk, you won’t regret it.
Why is sage beneficial in eliminating cough?
This herb’s healing properties are due to the essential oils in its leaves which are anti-bacterial. They also contain phosphoric acid, vitamin B, B1 and tannin.
Traditional medicine recommends that you mix sage with milk for easier expectoration.
– 250 ml milk
– 1 tbsp. dried sage
– 1 tsp. butter
– 1 tsp. honey
– 1 tsp. powdered curcumin (1/2 for children)
How to make:
Pour 250ml milk in a pot, add 1 tbsp. of dried sage in it and bring it to boil. As soon as the milk starts boiling set it aside and add 1 tsp. of butter. Cover it and leave it for 15 minutes.
Drain the milk, add 1tsp. of honey and 1 tsp. of powdered curcumin (half a teaspoon for children) and give it a good stir.
Prepare this drink before you go to bed and drink it warm at least half an hour before you go to sleep. The cold, flu and cough will dissapear in no time. You’ll never buy a cough syrup again.
