When the water has boiled, reduce the temperature to low and pour a cup of polenta and stir with a wooden spoon, not with a metal one, until the polenta thickens. You can add healthy seeds or your favorite veggie to the polenta.

-The second way of preparation is to pour half a liter of water and one tsp of salt in a saucepan and put it to boil. When the water has boiled, you need to add 500 grams of cornmeal. The cornmeal will remain on the surface of the water. With a wooden spoon, make a hole in the center and leave it to cook on medium heat. After several minutes, when the mixture thickens, remove it from the stove and it’s ready for consumption.

Recipe for delicious corn bread from polenta:


  • 150 grams of corn polenta
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 grams of flour
  • 300 grams of low-fat shredded white cheese
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 pouch of baking powder
  • 200 ml of yogurt
  • 100 ml of sunflower oil

How to make:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. In the meantime, in a bowl, mix the eggs until they become a bit foamy and then add the oil and yogurt and mix the ingredients with a food mixer. After you get a homogenous mixture, add the flour, polenta, tsp of salt, and baking powder.

Mix the ingredients once more and then add the shredded white cheese. Next, pour the mixture in a previously greased baking pan or cup muffin pan.

Put the pan in the oven and bake until the corn bread becomes brownish. You can insert a toothpick to check whether it’s done. That is, if the toothpick remains dry after you’ve removed it from the bread, the bread is sufficiently baked. Remove it from the oven and leave it in room temperature for 5 minutes before consuming it.
