First of all, make your skin softer by preparing a soft bath. Pour 3 tbsp. of baking soda in 5 l of water and put some salt. The water needs to be beyond 37oC. Once the bath is completed, pull out the nail which has ingrown skin. You may use a sticking plaster to apply on the noticed ingrown toenail area in order to ease the process so that it becomes more accessible.

If you want to raise the end of the nail, place some cotton in between the skin and the nail with tweezers. Before this, apply some antibacterial cream such s iodine. Change the cotton and the wrapper in 24 hours. Do this method for 15 days and the nail will be back in the ordinary condition.

If it is hard to put the cotton between the skin and the nail, use a mixture of 1 clove of garlic and 1 tbsp. of raw honey as it will provide antiseptic properties. The most important thing is to soften the skin and change the cotton that has been used during the procedure daily. Once you are finished with the procedure, scrape the outer part of the nail.
