Red beetroot really has some amazing and healing properties.
It’s a vegetable familiar since the time of Hippocrates and was used to treat many diseases. Ancient Greeks and Romans used it to decrease high body temperature.
Beetroot contains magnesium, vitamin, chlorine, saponins, betaine, flavonoids, iodine, zinc, calcium, sodium and natural nitrites. Chlorine in beetroot has hypoallergenic property and helps in cleaning of the kidneys, gall bladder and lymph.
Beetroot has healing properties in 15 diseases among which: anemia, atherosclerosis, hypertension, diabetes, helps in diseases connected to the thyroid gland, improves memory and sleep, helps in the period of menopause and strengthens the immunity.
The only side-effect is that the urine becomes reddish in color when you consume greater quantities of beetroot, but that’s harmless.
