Since the ancient times ginger has been used to warm up the body when someone is having a cold or the flu. It’s recently started to gain popularity as an effective remedy against thrombosis, rheumatism, sciatica, arthritis and similar conditions and its effectiveness is beyond words.
You can use ginger in two ways, orally or topically. For oral use dissolve half a teaspoon grinded ginger in 150 ml of boiling water. Leave it aside for 15 minutes and drink it twice a day for a month.
If you want to use it topically you can make ginger water compresses. Grind about 30-40 gr of dry ginger or about 100-140 gr. of fresh ginger and put it in a cloth bag. Place the bag in a pot of boiling water and leave it in for about 5 minutes. When you apply the compresses the water needs to be still hot. Soak a cotton towel in the water, squeeze the excess water and apply it on the affected area. Place a dry towel over it to keep it warm. Replace the compresses every 5-10 minutes until your skin turns red. You can use the same water to massage the painful areas, improving the blood and lymph circulation, which are the reason behind your condition.
