Its main ingredients are cinnamon and honey, part of the hottest and most used weight loss trends nowadays. Used as a topping in cereals, in tea or milk warm beverages, or eaten straight and raw, honey and cinnamon will boost your metabolism and will help you burn hundreds of calories with just sitting and doing nothing.
To get the best effects and to exploit the most of their benefits, it is recommended to use one part of cinnamon to two parts of honey. The recipe goes like this:
- 1 tsp. ground organic cinnamon
- 2 tsp. raw honey
- 250 ml water
How to make:
Pour the water in a pot and bring it to heat until it start simmering. Put the cinnamon in a deep plate and scald it with the boiling water. Mix the fluid well, cover the plate and leave it to cool down until safe enough to drink. Once cool, add the raw honey and stir. Make sure never to add honey in a hot liquid, as the heat will abolish all its enzymes and nutrients. You can store the drink covered in the fridge for 24 hours. Do not reheat it before drinking.
How to use:
It is best to drink half of the mixture before going to bed, right after preparation, and the remaining half in the morning. You’ll have weight loss effects only if you consume the drink on an empty stomach.
